Pal used to be a gamekeeper and raised thousands of birds. Always a dozen or so each season became so used to being fed that they behaved like this.
He could not shoot them without risking blowing off his foot, so many lived on to a grand old age!

We have tame pheasants wandering around the vineyard, ever so often we come across a pile of feathers where they meet the fox, perhaps I should take some bird seed with me.....
