It worries me that the day could be approaching when my computer could turn up for work on a monday more depresses than I am or worse still what if the Rat brain was female???

Well it was clever enough to figure out that it was a bad idea to crash the simulator so I would think that sooner rather than later it will learn to decide what is boring or equaly dangerous and thus choose not to do it...
