W 126 won't start

Hi I've got a 1983 w126 500se i found it in a garage and has been unused for the last 9 years, I have replaced the fuel tank,fuel pump,fuel filter,fuel lines,spark plugs and leads,Dist cap so went to start it and no luck only to find out the fuel relay is faulty so I connected terminals 7 and 8 and the pump now works so that's proved the relay needs replacing,but still thought it would run, as when petrol is added to the air flap is fires up and runs briefly, tried to run it on carb cleaner and runs ok so the ignition must be ok, I looks like there is no fuel getting to the cylinders, there's fuel getting up to the injection thing on top of the engine and down to the injectors just can't seem to figure it out so any advice would be great fully received thanks Mike

have you checked the OVP relay fuse, sounds like you are not getting power to the fuel distributor electrical sensors.
