w112 engine restoration

Hi all,
since the w112 has the appropriate reputation of being a guzzler, do you have any ideas of how to reduce the fuel consumption considreably?

how about changing the injectors - to which ones in that case?
changing to electronic ignition, would that help?

Whatever you do dont put a magnet on your fuel line!!!

electronic ignition will make your car more efficient for sure, most people swear by pertronix.

in terms of injection, you could have a more modern system installed like megasquirt.

I agree re. the magnets, however it might probably work well for people who believe in extraterrestials and magic powers...
