Hey folks my 1984 240d tire set up is the w124 intra eightbhole 15x7? Wheels with 195/65/15 tires...tires have become old and hard...I have just replaced the front suspension. I am being advised to go back to 14 by some, other who say stick to current size and some who say issue if I go to 205/60/15.... As it is the same diff as original 14 setup?.....confused:dk:
 Pls help

The secret is to retain the same overall wheel +tyre rolling radius Car Bibles : The Wheel and Tyre Bible Page 4 of 4

Yes aware of that but get confused when it comes to the offset and inset...I believe the w123 came in 175/70/14 or was it 185/70/14 for the non power steering models...although can't confirm this as I have seen them on power steering models as well ...and I believe there were a 195's on 14's from the factory as well!!!?...so don't know where start...pls help if you know..as most people tell me that my current setup 195/65/15 is the same rolling radius as factory and going for a 205/60/15 would the same set up although wider....

both MB cd manuals are to found here W123

ps if you scroll down the first link I posted you will see a little wheel/tyre size "equivalent" calculator which will tell you what you want to know.

Super you are an angel....may the car gods bestow you your forbidden automotive desires....hope you don't mind me bugging you again on this...I tend to be lousy at self held tech....pretty lousy :)
