Hello,
I am a relatively new W123 owner. The car was low mileage (72K when I got it but it had been in storage for a long time). I have had quite a lot of work done on the car in the last 6 months: brakes, fuel tank, fuel lines, exhaust, bodywork and engine decarbonisation and full service. Occasionally the engine shudders/chugs on start up (particular on starting again after a decent journey of 20 miles plus) until I give it some revs when it goes back to running OK. The timing needs to be done as it is running a little rich but I don’t think that this is the issue. I have tried a fuel additive to clean the injectors and I thought that this had sorted it – but then the problem started again (intermittently). Has anyone got any ideas?
