Hi, I need a new radiator and water pump for my 240d, I'd prefer a Behr but can't anyone point me in the right direction to source them? Ideally someone who stocks them? Tried Mercedes but the pump is £180 exchange.

Thanks

It's the price difference what's puts me off eBay, water pumps for £25, one w123 specialist wanted £100 for a pump and £150 for a radiator but how do I know these aren't just the same bits I'll buy on eBay?

Your chassis number would help determine the correct part numbers. Staggered by your water pump price, among many links it is possible to buy a decent one for about £30. KMS stock a lot of parts and they insist upon your chassis number to ensure the correct one is sent.

Thanks, I'll give them a call.

I did notice the following "small print" in that advert Charles helpfully posted mind----Any of the brands above, equivalent or OE supplier brands may be supplied UNLESS customer specifies.
,
Brand (or Equivalent Available) MEYLE,FEBI,VIEROL,Or-Equivalent
personally I would specify MEYLE or FEBI just to be on the safe side.:dk:

check eurocarpart gsf also and compare prices i have access carparts trade account if u give reg no anf no for local branch n part no, u go and collect from trade counter with discount intact but payment in cash or card.

Hello Areofall,

Sorry about the delayed response. You can order any new car parts at http://www.eurocarparts.com/ . They are largest automative aftermarket specialist in the UK and we provide a price match guarantee.

Please send me a registration number or item code so I can create a custom discount code for you.

I can provide a discount code of 15-25%

This Code will give you 15-25% off ALL car parts online. Simply put the code into the checkout and it will remove the 15-25% discount from all applicable items.

However if you cant find your item you can call 02034740500 or email [email protected].
Hope this helps

Regards,
Seyi

I'm very surprised to hear that. Both those suppliers get some pretty damning criticism on these boards.

Dunno which flavour 240D you have or if it'd make a difference so i've guessed Mercedes-benz | iAUTO.lt_123.123 as an example. Pick a rad part number (i guessed without aircon) and stick it in the search engine of your choice and you should get some results that lead to hits like Spare Part 1235011201 offering various different brands. Same part number but followed with nissens should get you some hits for the equivilant Nissens rad which is probably similar quality to an aftermarket Behr-Hella but typically better value, made in Denmark and not cheapnese tat. If i picked the wrong flavour of 240D then just scroll down the list until you find the right one Mercedes-benz | iAUTO.lt

Dunno about "genuine" MB Behr rads but AIUI (maybe wrongly?) Behr stuff these days ain't the same as it used to be and probably made in South Africa IIRC? The Nissens rad i stuck in my s124 a few years back fitted perfectly, the core wasn't cosmetically quite as nicely finished as a Behr but on the flip side the plastic tanks had thicker wall hose stubs while the old behr rad i was replacing were much thinner with a copper ring bonded into them which makes for a nice stress riser compared to the Nissens way

For the waterpump i used Sparepart groups for Mercedes 123.123 (240D) which is bit easier to navigate but doesn't go into as much detail. On the plus side it includes (usually only decent) manufacturer part # as well MB for example 110 200 1720 O: WATER PUMP for Mercedes 123.123 (240D)
Stick the producer no from that into the internet and the first hit is Water Pump (SKF , VKPC 88807): MERCEDES-BENZ Parts - Bestpartstore.co.uk. German Company with a UK phone number and no pratting about begging for [cough] "discount" [cough] codes to get the "real" retail price

Hi Thanks for the advice, i got a Nissens radiator locally today for £98, it was cheaper on ebay but as I live in N Ireland ebay has additional charges to ship here, the cars engine no. is 61691220322565 can anyone tell me what power it is to order the correct water pump?

Thanks again!
