Do the black (pre facelift car) bumper trims, rubbing strips (or whatever they are called) just clip in place?
It looks like mine may have a few broken clips running along the top of the trim, and could probably do with being replaced.

Does it just pull off if you prise it carefully?

(Its my rear bumper and on a coupe)

Thanks....

Let's call it a bumper impact strip !!

First check the ends that point toward the wheel arch.
There may be a few screws that need to be removed from the inside of the bumper.
Typically the rest of the impact strip is held on with tabs that fit into the slots on the top and bottom bumper grooves.
A small flat blade screw driver can be used to gently push the tabs down to release them from the bumper.

Thanks for the advice..... So, i have to remove the rear bumper?

I was hoping to not have to do that:eek:

its easy, only a few bolts accesible from the inside of the boot after removing the covers.

Thanks - i will give it a try.

It's not normally the removing of bumpers i struggle with, its making them re-fit nicely afterwards.... And i wondered if the Duchatelet bumpers might make this doubly hard (Although i think they are fairly food quality items)
