I looked in my autodata and it said EDC, eg a VP37/VP44 rotary injection pump, but that can't be right for a CDI? Surely it must be common rail?

Also can anyone tell me if it's cambelt or chain driven and any common issues with this engine?

Regards, Greg.

Other than cam chains breaking early, injectors being stuck in the head and them generally being bad news to work on, they are ok..

Common rail injection.

Thnks guys, looks like stock CR from the diagrams, much like the Renault 2.2dci I rebuilt recently. It had the head removed as previous owner snapped an injector off in the head.

Is there room to get the purpose made heavy duty pullers in there for the injectors? Cam chain issues, are they regular with certain miliage or is it a lack of/longlife servicing issue that can be avoided with excellent maintainence?

Thanks guys,
Greg.
