Some little prat from the planet Zogg has tried to break into my 169 A class & has wrecked the key lock section of the drivers door.
I've managed to buy a new lock & have found that to replace the lockI need to unscrew the single screw/bolt via the small grommet protected hole in the door frame. I've found the hole & of course when removing the door lock the securing bolt /screw is bound to fall from the screw driver down into the door frame.
I've taken the inner door trim off & found a metal plate which is pop riveted to the door frame, has anyone else removed this inner plate or replaced the key lock barrel ?
If so are there any obstacles I 'm likely to come across ?
