Hi,
I've purchased a set of alloys for W202 1999 C250 Turbodiesel. They are 17x7.0J. I am now a little unsure whether they or the tyres I have now bought will fit... please could somebody put my mind at ease?

I have read on a site (which I cannot find now) that 17x7.0J wheels will fit a maximum tyre size diameter of 225/45/17... is this correct? Hopefully it is as I have bought them online a few days ago.

I know the best way would be to go and get them fitted, however, I am currently abroad with the car and both the tyres and wheels are in the UK.

Please help!!!

Thanks very much in advance

p.s. the car has not been very well looked after for some time (by my dad!), but he said I can have it so... bodywork dents and rust have been repaired, engine cleaned and oil leak fixed... now giving it a good clean and putting on some alloys... I will post some pics when I have finished

According to the brochure for my tyres (nexen) 225/45/17 are will fit 7 - 8.5" rims, with 7.5 the ideal size. So should be fine.

Checked the size online and they look ok to me.
