W203 auto dimming RVM retrofit

Hi everyone, I've purchased the item in the title, old one came out easily enough, but I'm seriously struggling to get the new one in, thumbs are now very sore lol. The spring is so tough and just doesn't budge. Any tips or tricks to getting the new mirror installed?

I've managed to do it.. I needed to depress the spring at the side of the retaining clip, that then held the spring at the right amount to just pop in. Cheers guys
