W204 Facelift, Steel strips in door panels

Hey guys,

I've just bought a C180 AMG Sport, which was an ex-demo.

The steel strip in the drivers door has loads of dints and chips from the seat belt buckle hitting it when removing the seat belt.

I spoke to my dealers and they said that they would have to replace the entire door panel and not just the strip.

Surely this seems a bit overly excessive? I'm amazed that the strips arent just interchangable? Or maybe they are trying to get more money out of me?

Is there anywhere I can get these from and any tutorials to change them? I'm assuming they would just click out?

I have the piano black which has developed some scratches due to the dealer poor clearing skills. I asked for a quote to replace it and they told me the same thing. They have to changer the whole panel. I can't see how this is necessary as it makes no sense to me but that is what they said to me so I have decided to live with it.
