Hi all.
As the title suggests I have just upgraded my Comand 2.0 in my W208 320 to a Pioneer SPH-DA100 Appradio but I didn't use the (I forget the name) box of tricks.
I decided I would go the cigarette lighter route as it meant less wires running here and there.
I was going to run a switched and perm live feed from the fuse box.
I started by using my volt meter to see which wire does what.
After a few issues with (my) connections I managed to get my stereo functioning with no sound.
It was then I realised I needed to do something with regards to my BOSE amp.
After watching a video on YouTube a few times (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBqYz47p9Oo) I decided to wire the amplifier straight to switched live as this seemed to be the easier route.
I forget the exact wire. All I know is it is blue and can bee seen in this video I took of my work in progress. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK34F3XuQc0
I thought the sound of my original stereo was great until I heard this one plugged in.
Here is a video of the install with the surround not in place. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzGQO7V58D4
Sorry for the same song on both videos I took as I took them to show a friend and it is his favourite song.
