Hi all,

this weekend, i have fitted a Pioneer AVIC 910bt double din headunit in my W208. ( I have purchased a steering control unit for the W208 from ebay) and have all Steering wheel controls working apart from Answer call, the headunit is BT so I expect it to work I can answer from the headunit fine, but when I press either of the Call buttons it says not supported on the dash.

anyone have this working with there steering control and pioneer headunit ? is this a Star issue?

any help appreciated as always

cheers.
K

The answer call button is designed to answer calls for the factory option phone kit. My guess is It will be trying to locate that and as it's not fitted will give the error you have.

Cant remember on a W208, but newer cars need the cluster coding to enable the Phone controls (i.e. to tell it that there is Phone fitted in the car)

This needs Star Diagnosis

My Kenwood supports wheel controls but the adapter does state that the answer/hangup buttons will only act as mute and not actually operate the phone.
