My recently acquired 1999 W210's rear Parktronic system isn't working (the front system is working perfectly) and I can't figure out why.
When I turn the ignition on, the system self-tests correctly - all orange and red segments light up on the rear Parktronic warning indicator.
The rear warning indicator frame also lights up at low speed and when reversing, as it should.
However when I reverse towards an obstacle, none of the segments in the rear warning indicator light up.
As I understand it, should any of the rear sensors be faulty, the two red segments in the rear warning indicator should light up to show this?
Any ideas please? Thanks!
