W210 sill removal E55 1998

Hi guys,
Apart from using a claw hammer, which I was close to doing earlier today. How do I remove my sill trim so that I can access the two bolts holding the wing on hidden by this?

I've taken the 3 8mm bolts out, read someone where that you just give it a good pull but I don't want to break it.

I've just take both mine off to deal with one rusted jack point. I imagine the AMG covers have the same fixings.

Unless you want to bend the cover to access the wing bolts, remove it completely (then clean and waxoyl what's left..).
You've done the front 3. Do the 4 at the rear.

Then prise out the 8? black oval clips along the length of the lower sill - needs a fine flat bladed screwdriver. If they pop out easily that means, yes, the holes have rusted.

Then insert suitable wedges along the top joint and pull upwards. The clips come off easily.
Well under an hour to do both sides...good preventative maintenance for a 210 if you catch it in time.
