I know, I must admit I have a very understanding wife who over the years has come to know what I'm like for impulse buying

I do work very hard though :D at least that's what I keep telling myself to justify it.

To be honest I'm much the same, I have spent a insane amount of money on cars in the last 12 years, could of paid off my mortgage by now if I drove a Clio diesel.

That's wired, my mate Chris has just bought one from jct26 in Nottingham, he picks it up tomorrow.

I'll have to tell him, it'll make his day.

Make sure you buy him a cap, pipe, and a pair of slippers. Than slap him round the jobs....

Comfort, style and pace. I love it! E63 very nice too, just not quite so exclusive as the CLS 63. :)

I didn't think of exclusivity when I bought my 63.

To be honest I'd have bought a C63 if I hadn't have needed the extra space with 2 kids under 3.

Again mine was an impulse buy LOL :thumb: :D:fail

Pah old mans car so does not count ;-)

Anyhow the E63 was the 1st model to use the N/A engine!

It is a hell of an engine though isn't it? I just love the sound when you give it some beans. A classic engine if nothing else, and never to be repeated. All smaller engine turbos in future, just don't sound the same.

EXACTLY! couldn't have put it better myself, the engine is fantastic :thumb:

Coupled with my new exhaust it sounds like I'm giving it the beans at 3000 rpm and when I get north of 6000 its ......well......pornographic (to quote Acid):devil::devil::devil:

Are there any issues at MOT time Jim? Or maybe the noise abatement society?

MOT - yes, cats need to be back on or a selective tester :D

Noise - some love it some hate it, personnel preference I get some astonished looks + positive comments and some w****r signs.

Neighbours are good as they race motorbikes so I have no problems around the house.

I've never seen another S212 E63, except for Doughboy's who was at MSL having some work done.

And I've been looking hard.

All things being equal what 211 would you have, an E63 or E55K - and why...?

So will the W211 E63 be a future classic than? howmanyleft.co.uk say there are only 167 on the road compared to the... E55 AMG = 910 W212 AMG = 434 C63 AMG = 3k++++++ Quite a rare AMG than? I have certainly not seen another on the road.

This site does not seem to identify w210 e55's and W211 e55k models. Or I'm just using it wrong. I just wonder how many w210 e55's remain

I like the screaming N/A engine, makes it more of a drivers car. Interior is better, and exterior is more upto date.

Also the E55 feels sounds and feels like a American V8 which I hate.

So E63 for me...
