hello guys, after the cars been in for a check up today, the garage suggested it could do with its rear subframe bushes replacing.

Anyone done this DIY? Id like to have the subframe itself sand blasted and repainted while its off, so wouldnt be suitable to give to a garage to do....

The bit that would put me off is the disconnecting of the Airline to the rear Airbag's. If its the same as the fronts they use a brass olive on the end of the nylon tubing.

This is very brittle and can break. The you have to get a the correct replacement oilve, Also follow correct procedure in possible deflating/inflating of the bags assuming these have to be disconnected of course.

You never know you may get away with leaving them all connected i dont know :/

Did you get a quote from the garage doing the job? I'm off to get mine checked out on Thursday.
I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours. ;-)

haha, it may well be a project for next year...

no i never asked for a price, cos ill do it myself.

Let me know what yours ends up costing

Just got back from having mine checked. There was a little play in one side but not enough to make it worth while changing: so let off lightly there.

I do need 3 ball joints at the front though: c£235 parts and labour. It's booked in.

Good luck with yours mate.
