Hi all.

My W212 E300 Hybrid Estate 2013.( 260,000 miles now )

Just a wee bit of info on replacing no the indicator bulb in the door mirror housing, you can get the bulb separately from the housing, it is held in place by 2 hex screws.

If you remove the cover there are 2 part numbers imprinted on the inside ( not a label but part of the moulding) one says Housing, and the other says Lens.

I typed the Lens part number ( in my case A3159539c N/S mirror ) into Google and it took me to multiple options to buy via EBay etc.

Price was £35 which is much cheaper than the £115 for a new cover with bulb included.

Hope this proves useful to anyone with the same bulb failure.

I had the same issue recently, the eBay ones are Chinese aftermarket led bulbs, which I didn't fancy.

In the end I popped into a Mercedes dealer and had a chat with the parts department. Apparently the wing mirrors are the same on a number of models and I purchased an A-class mirror housing for £55 then swapped the bulb over to my housing, Mercedes won't sell the bulb on its own, even though it has a part number.

A short while later I decided I liked the gloss black housing so replaced both sides, part numbers below:-

That's big miles.

Can you tell us what parts you've had to replace suspension wise over this term. The dealer said the 212 is leagues ahead of the 211 in terms of suspension longevity and I'm just curious.

Hiya.

The car was used as a long distance taxi covering most of the UK and Europe. Most of the miles were done in the first 3 years.

The car has been serviced from new by MSL in Birmingham, a non dealer Merc specialist, they have been excellent.

While under Warranty the injectors went one by one around 160k to 180k, when the third one went Merc replaced all 4 and the control unit, since then no problems at all.

The car has had 1 yes,1 set of Discs, 3 sets of pads and that's it.

The car drives and looks like new.

Air suspension has been faultless.

I hope to keep the car for years to come.
