E350 CDI
Hi,

I have a E350 CDI 231BHP, i have called up my local MB Centre who say they can do a ECU Remap, without taking the ECU out for £275, the gain they say is 20% so overall it will come out to 277BHP, is this right ?

I have called another company in Leicester who say they will charge over £300 cant remember the exact figure but will achieve near enough 290BHP, but this one will consist of taking the ECU out and manually reprogramming it.

Question
1. is which one do i go for MB Centre or Leicester?
2. are these gains correct?

As i do want to get a ECU remap done for better accelertion.

Thanx in advance for any help you guys can give me.

This is my first post... please be helpful.

Have a chat with MSL in Birmingham, that's where my money would go

Ibbi, when you refer to the MB centre do you mean an official MB dealer? If so this is interesting as presumably their remap will not void any MB warranty. I had heard that MB dealers offered the Brabus box rather than remaps.

Hi jkh112,

No its not the main dealer, is the MB Center who are just MB specialists, i checked with MSL and they are are charging £300 for a remap which is the same as MB Center at £275...

May just go with the MB Center as its cheaper and also thats where they will be doing my services for the car.

Thanks for replying. There is a lot to be said for using someone local who has an interest in keeping your business long term.

MSL uses a rolling road , does the MB center ?

MSL charge more than that, I believe? I assume for £300 there is no rolling road, at least
