I wanted to pick up a switched live for a dashcam. Previous posts suggested removing centre tray to wire off the socket. I thought I might struggle with that so used a different method.. I discovered the back of engine fuse box has a large feed through to cabin for main loom so plenty of space for another cable. Ease down the panel above driver's footwell (3 torx screws), pop off fuse box lid and shine a torch from the back of the fuse box and it will be clear. Fuse 9 is the 15A socket and I piggy backed off that. Ease off the dashboard end panel and then there is plenty of space behind, above the parking brake handle to secure a socket with dashcam power supply and metal for earthing. Cable fitted easily up behind door seal and across top front of headlining pushed in with a trim tool (or kids plastic knife blunted).
