Got some nice plates and plate holders.

Switched the fronts in a couple of minutes

The 4 rear screws are well rusted in

Managed to get one out but the others........

Used mole grip pliers.

All I've managed to achieve is the metal surround into which the screw goes now rotates with the screw.

Need help. Old plate ripped off no currently cannot drive

Many thanks

Known issue / Fitter / Halfords motor centre?

This issue is more common than you'd think.

My two suggestions on a Bank Holiday would be to scratch your head to think if you know some kind of fitter (Gas, Electrician, plumber, handyman) locally who could come up with some kind of workaround, or drop into a Halfords Motor Centre where they face this exact issue every day of the week when they fit and change number plates routinely.

The long, proper, answer is to follow the two hour method outlined in the earlier posting, but either of these two sources could provide a quick fix.

As regards getting there without a number plate - duck tape will do the job. Don't try to drive without a plate on the back, you'll get pulled by any policeman wth time on her/his hands.

Holy **********er

This is going to be a nightmare
