Looks like its the stationary heater button, see doc below.

Bit of an omission for it not to be in the manual, methinks.

Put a cheese sandwich in the glove box and then push this button. 3 minutes later you will have a cheese toastie. They think of everything theses Germans.

Have you got the coffee cup symbol on your dash? If so its def what petrol pete says

In the CL, it's "Auxiliary Heating / Ventilation" but shown as a rocker button and is in the CL manual (page 267).

I would be more concerned about the red pointy scratch, dealer should have spotted that one!!!!!!!
