Hi all
The part has fallen off (rusted and corroded fixings)
Today when I moved my car after 6 days on the drive there is lots of foam under it (chunks) I'm wondering if something has gotten access under the wheel arch straight into the engine and eaten away at some kind of foam.

I won't open bonnet as I'm scared of rats and I'm gonna have issues if there is one in there.

Anyway it's the front arches plastic lining that joins together with front bumper.

What colour is the foam? if it's grey, and from quite a thin sheet, it could be the underbonnet insulating mat.

See pic.
I'm just wondering how it could be on my drive under the car if it's not rodents? Either way i think it might be rats and I can't bring myself to open the bonnet.
Because I don't have the under arch lining covers on both ends at front that's easy entrance to engine bay

Siberian hamsters by the look of things.

Guess it ( they ) will move into the interior next, probably starting on the seats, mind you they might just snack on your electrical wiring first

I know and I'm fuming.
Wonder how much this will cost to rectify and see if anything else has been damaged

I had my brand new (genuine MB insulation supplied and fitted for around £100) partially eaten by something. The car was parked under a tree, on grass, with other cars. I was eating and drinking for most of a sunny Saturday.

I suppose the animal saw my smug face being repeatedly filled and decided to join me. Couldn't blame him really.

Hands at ten to two. Must be a JobBlackRat.

(Whatever happened to him I wonder?). NB...question for the older members.

Guys these rat pics aren't helping me with part numbers for the wheel arch plastic

Which bit? There are several parts to the wheelhouse lining.

If it's the parts in your first post, then I believe you're looking for

A1298840335 - left
A1298840435 - right

If its a 129.067, then left front wheelhouse cover (no. 200 in attached pdf) is A 129 690 01 30 and right is A 129 690 22 30
(was A 129 690 02 30, but has been replaced by 22 30 which was also used for cars with option 471 ASR).

There appears to be a 'seal' (no. 203 in attached pdf) associated with the cover, A 107 884 01 98, same for left and right sides.

If your car isn't a 129.067, then its best to post up or PM me your VIN for a more specific check.

PS Tried to include diagram within the post, but first try was upside down and second was horizontally inverted, so have it as an attached pdf which opens OK on my machine.

Update: Doodle's part numbers are part 11 on the second attached pdf ("Partition panel as a covering between wheelhouse and radiator cross member")

Yes, sure it's part 11 on second one.
