What should screen show when updating maps ntg1

I've tried updating to latest maps on a s211 ntg1, I put disc in boot and screen displayed a twirling thing in middle and said please wait, nothing else happened, should it be saying that its updating, not sure if I should wait longer or if disc is no good, waited about 10 to 15mins

Must be dependent on the SW version before and after. The Navi processor firmware may not have any update. What happens now, is it not functional at all or is it working fine?

Yeah works fine, just took disc out after about 15mins wait, didn't have a disc when I got car so not sure what it should show when a disc is inserted

Is the disc a genuine one. ?
