Hi all im new to this forum and looking to purchase an E class 2010 350cdi convertible. The car looks in great condition (by the photos) and spec is fantastic, it has 42k and fsh although the last 3 years are with a mb specialist. Im test driving it this weekend can anyone give me pointers on what to look out for, weak spots, tell tail noises, ways to check that the 7 tronic box is working? Any help would be really appreciated

Cheers

This model range would be the C207 & A207 (E-Class Coupe & Cabrio) and if so then it is based on the W204 series C-Class platform. The W204 C-Class has no particular issues as far as I am aware (I have one and it is fine...).

As with all cabrios it is worth checking the condition of the roof, its motor, and that it is water tight.... cabrio roof repairs can be very expensive.

The 350 CDI engine is fine but again any repairs to the Diesel engine can be costly so history and condition are very important.

Thanks MarkJay ive driven my work mates 350d coupe and i love it. Hopefully this car will be the same. Ive never seen another with this level of spec!
