Wheel Refurb AMG 18inch

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good Wheel Refurb / Repair company in either the Dundee area or Teeside area? Just kerbed one of my front wheels avoiding a delivery van!

I believe the 18 inch AMG wheels on the E Class sport model require diamond cut repair? Damage is only on the rim edge about a third of the way round in total but it's been gouged a bit as well so a bit concerned it's not repairable.

Your local MB dealership should be able to refurb these for about £75, as they did mine when my wife caught a kerb under pressure from Mr Whitevanman. They did a good job on mine.

I understand that they use their BMW bodyshop in Glasgow which is also owned by the Arnold Clark organisation.

I'll give the Dundee Dealership a try tomorrow. Phoned the Teeside Dealership today (I work in Teeside during the week), who said they wouldn't touch them as they were diamond cut!

£75 sounds reasonable.

Yes most dealers would say that diamond cut cannot be refurbished. Decent refurbishment places will say a max of 2 or 3 times but presumably not mobile refurbishments that are done in an hour or two.

If you get stuck diamond wheels in Dundee can do diamond cut wheels. There based in the industrial estate just along the road from the Mercedes garage

Ok,

Wheel repaired today at the Wheel Specialist in Teeside.....in the industrial estate round the back of Teeside Mercedes dealer if anyone interested.

Really pleased with finish and colour match......looks like a brand new wheel. Would recommend.
