Thanks, interesting ... Looking at this

Someone got a bargain with the red one I reckon....

if u r interested email as i think they had a bid waiting for snaps which did not come, the other one is no way a bargain with 166k miles it is a joke

The 166k one is mine ;) Been looking for one for a while...found this one last year which drives much better than a 166k car. Great spec and condition and been serviced every 12 months for the nearly 20 years it has been on the planet. History is solid with 3 previous owners.
Have just spent £3.5-£4k on her as intended to keep it forever. However just doing some work on the house now and bought a Maserati 4200 that I hadn't expected. I won't have a space in the garage for the 320 so however much it hurts she is going to have to go!

Not many around and some are poor. I think mine is a nice colour combo, with solid history & only 3 previous owners so is in the better ones IMHO.

Any thoughts on the value as am struggling to see what she is worth??

Sorry, didn't quite follow that one?

Yup, it is mine. Wanted one for ages, found a really nice one, spent a load on her & can't keep her now so quite frustrating & a crying shame. Timing is everything!

166k miles regardless of condition and i have seen recently a rebuilt engine resprayed on off a friend in fulham road who had a garage sold for shade under 5k.

i would say 6-7k is the price i might be totally wrong or expecting bargain price.

objectively this the price i suggest, try advertising it on Gumtree | Free classified ads from the #1 classifieds site in the UK seems to get more interest but people who want a bargain, i would say put it at 9k and see what offers u get

here is one with 73k miles for 11k (which high btw) FYI

Are you advertising the car for sale with 166K miles @ £14k, or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

Not the wrong end of the stick. Yes, my car and advertising at £13995 and open to offers. Not in a rush to sell and not interested in giving anyone a bargain. Plenty of bargains out there but mine won't be one of them. Honest, good, solid, unmolested, genuine examples are very hard to find....believe me I have been looking for a while ;)

Took ages to find to find this one. Unfortunately some work on the house means I have to change my plans.

Mercedes-Benz 124 series E320 Cabriolet Automatic | eBay

Sorry but this Ebay one is chalk and cheese. Mine is an original Sportline from the factory with 22 stamps serviced at least every year since new with 3 previous owners. Not many of those around at any mileage. Yes, the Ebay one is priced high agreed. Makes mine look cheap in comparison.

Nice example but red is not my colour and black interiors are not for me either. Only has part history in my book as the car is over 20 years old and has only been serviced 12 times. The service schedules on these W124's is 9k miles or 12 months is it not? The Charles Ironside one is missing 8 or more services along the way.

Even my steering wheel was supplied stock from the factory options list looking at the order sheet.

The values of older examples I agree are all over the shop but I have not seen too much similar. There is a slightly better one going into auction at Brooklands Historics on the 7th March so will be very interested to see what it goes for as will help me value mine better.

O.k., thus my comment about you stating you were struggling with what the car is worth.

There generally seems to be a few for sale on the usual sites which should give you an idea of an asking price for yours, no struggling required. :D
The likes of Charles Ironside, who by all accounts looks for top, top money but usually has low to medium mileage cars available should give you some idea.

Anyway, good luck with sale.

Ah I see now....sorry....didn't tie it up with my earlier struggling bit.

I think the Brooklands one is the closest I have found with one less owner and 68k less. When I went to see the car originally last year I wasn't expecting too much and wasn;t expecting to buy. I was pleasantly surprised and almost amazed by what I found. A few little cosmetic bits and bobs but it drove much better than I hoped and you could see it was very honest, genuine and had been well looked after.

I have spent about £3k so far with a bit more to spend and it was supposed to be a keeper. However I bought a one owner 11.5k miles 2007 Maserati 4200 that I couldn't resist and due to impending house work will have only space in the garage for the Maser.

I had to part with the SL60 to Jay a few years ago due to lack of garage space and now have the same issue with this 320. Need to get a bigger garage....work on that as part of the house work!!

Thanks for the luck ;)
