New E220 CDI Coupe Poor MPG?

Good name ED! 1,000 miles in and I'm getting circa 50 mpg in similar circumstances, same car/engine, previous expereince is that they lift 10%'ish after 5,000 miles. Edd

    Car going back....options

I went through this just last week with my wife's C250 estate. At £3k under value it also seemed pointless to purchase next month which was the original plan so I started looking around. I found a 2 year old good spec, mileage etc ML at my dealer but had to move immediately to secure the ML...

Price ideas for my C Class Estate...?

I've just had a value from our dealer who sees that our C250CDI is three years old in December. Full spec, 19k miles also mint, the trade underwrite was £15k. Its a good car to us for £15k so we won't change it this year. Edd

    Humbled by the SLS

Having thoroughly enjoyed my C63 as a daily driver for the last year I have just had to re-calibrate what I understand to be a proper kick in the back from a cars performance as well as pure theatre for noise. My business partner has just upgraded his CLS63 for an SLS Roadster; that thing is...

    C63 mpg

I'm doing something wrong then based on how this thread started, 15 mpg is the norm falling to about 7mpg for an enthusiastic drive! Edd

    Becareful when selling your Merc..

It's pretty sad. A good friend of mine recently had his 59 plate ML advertised privately. Another well informed 'normal' chap came around, they went for an accompanied test drive and returned to his driveway. The prospective 'buyer' had driven back and had quietly kept the keys in his hand...

    C63 Coupe "Soup to Nuts"

Khamen - I use the same dealership as you, had several cars including the 63 - do you deal with Matt up there? Edd

    C63 Coupe "Soup to Nuts"

Your dealer should have a provisional build date which will firm up once the chassis/VIN number is allocated 3-4 weeks before build from memory so you should have an indication at least. Factory pick up seems to add 2 - 3 weeks to the build time for some reason (never found out why!). Anyone...

    C63 arrived collect tomorrow

I'm totally with you on that but it just got so complicated. My build date was December and a winter factory collection means that with German law as it is you have to have the car delivered with winter tyres (at your own cost) as well as your regular tyres. You then have to fill your new P &...

Press Road Test Naughtiness by Manufacturers?

How Ferrari spins Have a read of the above article and semi rant from one Mr C Harris, very interesting. Incidently he was subsequently banned from Ferrari launches apparantly - the truth must hurt! Edd

    C63 arrived collect tomorrow

I ticked the box for this but then declined when I found out that for some reason it delayed the delivery date by three weeks (the wrong way!) though the build date remained. Still don't get that!! Great car, looking forward to the report on delivery and pics! Ed

    "Senna"

Great film/documentary. I was suprised how we've got used to such a sanitised current F1 format after seeing how exposed etc those chaps were so relatively recently. Edd

    Does anyone know?

I've found delivery time from the factory to the UK to always be between 4 and 7 days which seems to vary mostly due to getting across the channel (ship?). Once at the dealer as has been said it can be a very quick turn around as long as the pdi doesn't throw any issues up. Those cars are...
