Have you tried removing all the fuses bar one, then trying each circuit by itsself overnight? Might take a month with an S class (how many fuses would it have?) but it'll give an idea of where the drain lies.

I've never done it, but supposedly most radios can be decoded, and as far as I can tell, the software needed to do it is very expensive - if you look in autotrader there's companies willing to do it. You can buy cds on ebay that claim to just use the model number and serial number to locate...

A mate has a 500SEL - all £525 of it. Not the fastest thing I've driven, but not really a good example of the 126 either. Lovely thing, even has footrests for the passengers, but I'd imagine a 2.8 would barely get the thing moving, never mind anything else. V8 all the way :)
