I think from what i've read AA do a similar service for small repairs up to 500 quid.
Basically if ur with the AA breakdown(£29 to get u started) you can cover small repairs for £69 at the roadside.(Breakdown repair service) This is probably a must for older cars, maybe a second runabout...
On their website TC they state they cover wear and tear after 90 days. So if u buy a policy don't expect cover from day one. Whether they allow manufacturer warranty to allow the exception I'm not sure.
I also don't like their contribution on parts/labour depending on ur age of car/miles. I...
Unless you have the prestige cover/luxury cover which only applies for cars under 60k miles i think the warrantywise cover beats hands down.
The top cover is same as Wwise.
honest john/whatcar do recommend WD but i have heard of many probs with the cover they provide. Plus the guys who ring u...
Initially i did 50/hr and took out the warranty. Anyway i think that i may get issues with the car at 80k miles so i decided to up it to £100/hr as only main dealers have an idea of the complex electronics. So after 2 weeks i have raised LB rate to 100/hr. It cost me an extra 45 quid/yr. So they...
I would go for warrantywise without hesitation as they cover wear/tear from day one. WD will cover it after 90 days.
Warrantywise will alos cover high miles and give ALL COMPONENT COVER whereas WD only list ones they cover for low grade policies and ones they don't cover for high spec policies...
However the 525d facelift is also uprated to 3.0l with 192bhp i think.
the facelift e220 would cost a lot more than an earlier version 525d.
Seen a e220 facelift 56 go 15k at auction.
Its a 3month dealer warranty as car is high mileage. u can extend for 12 months buts 650 quid. I going to extend with warrantywise for comp cover for £399.
Its silver grey/xenons which i really like. does have ski-thorugh load...not sure if it help with moving big stuff though.

Sorry guys...Just bought 525dSE Auto leather/xenons/pdc,17 wheels/thorough load/bluetooth for 9.5k from BmW dealer with 3mth warranty.
This valoe rad/warranty think confused and i had to make a decison.
It was the auctions that got me going as BMW with low spec were selling for 9k. One went...
Have done lots of research on this warranty thing.
In the end it wasn't warranty direct or AA or tesco why
1.WD- list parts they cover only for over 70k cars, and parts they dont for less 6 yrs and low mileage....they don't give full parts costs
2 Tesco finest is best for only younger cars...
I think the guys having second thoughts, ..
we agreed on a price and he backed out today saying he wants 500 more as he's got more interest. what happenned to gentlemen's agreement these days!
All that ringing around for nothing...
Maybe just as well was thinking of it being a bit underpowered...
If the early W211 had elec issues which were more troublesome than safety issues i can live with that. If the car has valeo rad...what is the solution to this problem...change rad?
Merc dealer has said then can do 1hr inspection for 100 quid. AA/RAC do essentials test for around the same..but...
Which one is that..any link?
No its an Avantgarde spec with parkatronic, with leather/phone kit.
I guess buying out of warranty is always a risk but maybe more so with a W211 in the early years. Had one previously from 52 and this one is not much diff.
The better models came 06.
I'm just...
Just offered to buy a W211 estate. Is there anyone i should use to inspect it as its out of warranty and done about nearly 100k miles.
I'm going to put a warranty on it from Warranty direct but they will not cover any existing faults.
Seems like the Mrs wins again and I'm back with the E...
