The IWS, yes, with Titanium Grey finish or whatever it's supposed to be called!

    ODB bluetooth scanner

So many options! ;) Anyone used any of the 3 eBay examples I posted specifically? Just looking for dud avoidance at this stage. Oh, and nothing that draws so much as a pico-nad of juice from the ever precarious CLS55 battery when the ignition is off!!!;)

    ODB bluetooth scanner

So looking at this and various other posts across various forums, the following seems to be the logic: 1) for generic use as an Android user, get a ELM327 Bluetooth adaptor of eBay and use something like Torque or DashCommand with it from your phone/tablet 2) for more specific MB use and code...

    London recommendation - cracked rim

About £150 all in with VAT and removing, re-fitting + balancing tyre. £75 and £37.50 for the weld and the flat spot respectively before VAT ..

    London recommendation - cracked rim

Used Alloy Weldcraft in the end. More convenient and re-assuring reputation. Also longer warranty (6 months) than others. A good bit more expensive than some. Once there, noticed there was a flat spot on rim as well (perhaps what caused the crack to push out), so sorted both and finished the...

    London recommendation - cracked rim

Gosh .. hard to choose! Lepsons are as far across London as possible for me and only do free collection for 4 wheels, so probably the least convenient. BJV closest and I'm in-between the other two. Any of them particularly favoured on forum or post directly here? Would be nice to hear good...

    London recommendation - cracked rim

Thanks, will have a look at both. I've actually used BJV for re-furb before .. not that far away. Will send them a pic and see what they think!

    London recommendation - cracked rim

Rear tyre on CLS55 went flat yesterday - no sign of a puncture, but noticed a hairline crack on the back of the alloy which seems a likely culprit. Normally I use PCS for the car, but they're a bit of a trip with the wife's car to get something small done. Obviously getting a wheel fixed...

    Battery voltage?

Would be nice and easy with a garage. Not having convenient driveway power however makes it a royal pain to charge! Might give it the odd bump however a few times a year if it's not getting long use to top up ..

    Hunting for the CLS 55!

Very limited amount on UK roads (as with C55 AMG), great engine, more modifiable than later models ... you never know! :dk: :thumb:

    Degenerating COMAND faults

Great news is that I've finally got rid of this issue! Fibre loop in place of the TV tuner has now completely fixed the intermittent COMAND fault (driven 1000 miles since). Hurray for small mercies as it cost me less than £15 to bypass (although wasted some earlier money in problem...

MOST loop adaptors - wrong connection?

Managed to fit the loop with the converter to remove the tuner a couple of weeks ago. Worked a treat and a nice cheap fix for once! :)

    Mercedes CLS55 Battery questions

Latest update - got a new MB rear battery a week before a 1 week driving trip to Ireland. Lasted the 2 weeks since perfectly without any issues at all. Fingers crossed that's it for another few years!!
