To all the holier-than-thous on this post – who have missed the point completely – goodbye. End of my contribution.

I had two FPNs of three points each – 39 in a 30 and 42 in a 30 (both three-lane highways, I might add). Of what relevance is this? Are you saying that if you have some points then you get an increasing amount for subsequent offences?

For those who didn't understand my first post I'll tell you again. Caught doing 80 in a 70 – – NOT a 50.

Appeal against what? You having a laugh? Not that I got done speeding but the punishment. Going rate is £60 and three points.

I was caught on camera on the M74 doing 80 on a 70 – motorway. Pled guilty by letter and sent my licence away to court. Got it back today – £200 fine and FIVE penalty points. Draconian or what? Can someone explain what is happening here? Can I appeal?

Job done, new injector (£134 plus VAT) in. Also got a full service. Car back to normal. Thanks guys for all your help.

Got one from Euro Parts – they had only one left they said. Bosch need a week to refurb one. Incidentally, just watched my man take old one out – five minutes max. Very lucky!

No 1 injector on my E 270CDi is goosed. Just been told by Bosch they won't have any ready till December as they've had a run on them. MB want £400 for one. Is there anywhere else I can get one?

Another thought – could it be the MAF?
