There are 2 motors that can give you trouble, can still be sorted without removing the dash, I should know, ive done both Steve

Have to correct you here......... Check that air con all operated well, there are motors behind the dash that control the flaps, if any of those are clicking when you switch the ignition on then its a dash out job. This is NOT the case, Merc will always quote dash removal but I fixed mine...
