    W124 jerky gearchange

Could you please provide a few more details of the vacuum leak that caused the harsh gear changes? Was it a vacuum hose or linked to the vacuum modulator on the gearbox itself?

    W124 1995 E320 Heated Seats Not Working

Just wanted to round this off in case it's of use to someone. On my 1995 E320, the 25A heated seat fuse was actually located with the relays at the rear of the fusebox. I've attached a pic below. The unused fuse looks to be for the tow hook wiring. As stated previously, the strange thing was...

    W124 1995 E320 Heated Seats Not Working

Hello All This morning the heated seats on my 1995 E320 were working fine. However, on the return journey both front seat heaters appeared to stop working at the same time. Both heated seat switches light up on low and high settings, and the relay under the rear seat appears to click faintly...

Thanks all. I think I'm going to try the ATE rear discs along with their ceramic pads. Will try and provide feedback once they are bedded in.

w124 rear brake discs - Genuine or OEM ?

I've recently been quoted £225 by a main dealer for a pair of rear brake discs for my 1995 w124 e320. The part number was listed as A1244231012. I thought that was a little pricey as looking online ATE supply these discs at around £70 for the pair (ATE part number 420199). The rear discs...

    W124 Auto Dimming Mirror

Thanks David You are correct about the OE MB mirrors. They are extremely rare. I did, however, manage to get hold of Rik via his 2phast Tactical website. He has recently updated his 2phast Mirror webpage and I have now ordered one of his 2M-1 mirrors. Should be delivered in about 5 weeks.

    W124 Auto Dimming Mirror

Hello All I'm looking to locate an auto dimming mirror for my W124. I have checked the 2phast.com webpage, but it looks like they are currently out stock of the basic 2M-6 mirror. I can't seem to get hold of Rik Johnson via his inquiry form to check the possibility of having one made to...

    1995 W124 N/S indicator

Thanks for the recommendation. I was a little concerned about the quality of the ECP/GSF pattern parts, but if you say they are OK, then I will go ahead and order a pair as I need them ASAP. Will keep an eye open for the Bosch ones just in case anyone has a spare set lying around.

    s124 16" 8 hole wheels

Hello mcbrucer Did you stick to the 215/55 sizes or did you switch over to 205/55? Do you have any pics of how they look on your s124? I'd like to see some pics down the flanks of the car to see how they fill the wheel arches. Thanks

    Wanted - 320/280/300 S124 TE Sportline estate

As per the title, I'm on the lookout for a nice S124 320/280/300 TE/estate with the Sportline/Sports Chassis options. Mileage un-important but must be in very good/excellent condition with good history. I know I can't be too fussy but would really prefer one with leather, aircon and cruise...

How to identify a genuine w124 front wing?

Just to close this off, the points raised above really did help. The new genuine front wing I picked up had a small (approx 3-4mm diameter) circular MB star logo stamped on the vertical section along with some other numerical stampings. They are pretty difficult to see on the new wing with just...

How to identify a genuine w124 front wing?

Thanks all. Unfortunately, I don't have a pattern wing to compare, but will take on board the weights listed above. How big is the MB Star logo - 10mm, 5mm, smaller ?

How to identify a genuine w124 front wing?

I'm sure this has been raised before, but is there a surefire method to tell if a new w124 (unpainted) wing is a genuine Mercedes part, as opposed to a pattern part? I've read that there are no part numbers, but there should be "star" symbol stamped on the panel. Is this correct, and if...

w124 radiator overflow hose clip - part no request

Thanks for the replies. The pic is just a library photo I found on the web to show the clip I was referring to. There is a hole in the front panel in which it should fit so I don't think its part of the headlight unit itself. Unfortunately I cant seem to locate the part in the diagram...
