EV ship on fire . An Australian comments

Interesting read. Perhaps this might be true, especially as the Government don't seem to be trying to sell any safety products as a by product of their guidance :dk:

Very scary...........or what you don't know about this EV issue

I'd be very surprised if the 'British Hand Car Wash' brigade were using HF.. Brick acid more likely, not quite so serious relatively but will quickly trash your shiny wheels.

Did you even read the link ? Don't shoot the messenger........

Very scary...........or what you don't know about this EV issue

This isn't specifically about EV's, but must also apply to almost anything powered by Lithium Ion batteries. We use this company for some items through work, and I came across this on their website yesterday Hydrofluoric acid: the chemical hazard hiding in electric and hybrid vehicle batteries...

    W204 C63 0mph and ABS,ESP Issue

Maybe a water related issue, but I have just had a similar ABS warning issues on my C63. It turned out it was a wheel speed sensor, sorted by Olly and team at Prestige Car Service in Horndean 👍 Along with the sump / block oil leak, power steering pump, engine and gearbox mounts etc etc

    Some advice regarding scissor lift

We used a fork lift to unload when delivered. 4 people might do it, not sure in all honesty.

    Some advice regarding scissor lift

No real need to bolt down a 'mobile' scissor lift, our's aren't, drive on slowly and it won't move.

    Black Wheels

There you go, Nissan 370Z wheels. Viewing angle changes the colour all the time

    Black Wheels

We use both of these colours in our Wheel refurbishment business. The single colour is cool, but with Transition colour, the more spokes your wheel has, the more the colour 'flips'. It actually moves 5 ways. However, it is very expensive at almost £100 / litre, and definitely not a DIY option...

    Some advice regarding scissor lift

Have a look at Automotech. We use a few of their items commercially in our workshop, good quality. They do a scissor life with a mobile version, easy to move around on a level surface. You need one without lift rams in the centre as you can't get under the middle of the car.

    Wheels-light refurb

I doubt the marks will polish out, even if you could get to it. Sounds like the clearcoat may well be starting to delaminate from the basecoat due to poor cross linking during the curing process. We use either a single coat Gloss Black for this reason, or Acrylic clear over Hi Flo Black Primer...

    Cracked Alloy Advice

Thank you for pointing out why they are called 'alloy wheels" I didn't really see the need to explain the differing alloys used in the construction of alloy wheels or the relative merits of cast or forged construction when agreeing with you that any weld is usually the strongest part of the...

    Cracked Alloy Advice

An alloy wheel is just a round block of aluminium, it's not some special material. Almost all alloys / metals CAN be welded, but that doesn't mean you should blindly say Yes or No. Most welds on minors cracks (as OP image) will be fine, subject to the above caveat, as the weld will be the...
