    31.6mpg good or bad?

    I'd say its good regardless of 'type' of car for the engine size. The problem with large meaty engines is they're ideal on long trips but a pain on short distances... (Either that or the fault with all my petrol cars has been my somewhat leaden right foot).

    MB Specialist near Cardiff/Caerphilly area

    Anyone know of a good MB specialist near Cardiff? My Ml270 tonight has decided to stick its BAS/ABS etc lights on and is making a kind of funny noise (I know, but I am crap at describing sounds) - kind of a vibration type noise which clears when I tap the brakes. Need to find someone who can...

    bas esp/ets/abs lights on ml270/w163

    I'm wondering if with the poor condition of the roads (basically ended up driving on sheet ice for about 5 miles) it confused the sensors?

    bas esp/ets/abs lights on ml270/w163

    After driving for a while on untreated roads and having to drive very carefully all 3lightd have come on. Parked up now for a while but is there anything I can do bar a garage trip to get the system to reset? Ignore this system came up clean... not used to all the driver aids on a merc yet.

    ICE advice

    Yep, my ML lacks steering wheel controls... The other downside is 99.99% of my music collection is on my Ipod and the W163 command unit only allows ipod input via Aux and doesnt control it, that's probably the one thing which will kill the command idea dead. If i do go with a 3rd paty...

    ICE advice

    Okay, the wife has agreed to let me fit a satnav to our ML270 which currently has an audi 10 with Bose amp, what's the pros and cons of getting a command retrofitted compared to another aftermarket double din unit? Both will be about same price after fitting so the easy discriminator is no use ;)...

    Argh... fog lights!=rain/spray lights.

    Agree. Or if we must have rear fog lights make it a single central low mounted light as on the old style Mazda 5's...

    Argh... fog lights!=rain/spray lights.

    I'd rather see brake lights - and when I can still a fair distance regardless of the spray there is no need for them as the visibility is not that seriously reduced.

    Argh... fog lights!=rain/spray lights.

    I would be very very suprised if you managed that trick. A friend of mine went around a bend straight into an unlit trailer a farmer had left in the road - guess who the insurance company blamed :(

    Argh... fog lights!=rain/spray lights.

    Both actually but its the rear fog lights that bug me in spray - I'd rather see brake lights than a sea of bright red fogs.

    Argh... fog lights!=rain/spray lights.

    Yep; and the name of the lights does kind of give away their purpose... (We have side lights, driving lights, main beam, fog lights, brake lights and according to a vicious rumour indicators (but I rarely see cars around here fitted with them) - the name of each does kind of give a clue to...

    Argh... fog lights!=rain/spray lights.

    When will people learn what fog lights actually are for? One more idiot passes me @ 90 in this rain on the M4 with their fog lights on and I'll call an airstrike on them.
