Yes I found the steps to do that on Youtube but it still came back a couple of weeks later. Am surprised a car going into limp mode with no ability to switch to Manual or Sport would produce no error on Star? (though have to admit I know nothing about the limits of Star diagnostic equipment)

Hmmm took it to a local Mercedes specialist who plugged into Star and said no errors were found....took for a test drive and couldn't replicate the issue.

Yes I have no fault codes on the dash so plugged in my icarsoft mb v2 diag but it found no fault either...probably needs Star at a good indie.

W212 E350cdi 2011 Out for a trundle in Arundel and she suddenly wasn't keen on changing up until knocking on the door of 3K...tried switching to S and then M alas to no avail.... Didn't much want to take the chance on taking her for a longer run....looking in the history seems there was an ATF...

Don't worry about 230bhp you will still be enjoying 400lbs of torque, if you do want more a simple stage one will give you 290bhp and 470lbs of torque!

If I went to Mercedes here in the UK and asked them to supply and fit a new windscreen to my E class I dread to think what the cost would be. Suspect £1000+ I don't bother calling my insurance company, just find out who there approved supplier is usually Autoglass or National Windscreens et al...
