thanks does it have to be star? because the guy that changed the torque converter might have done a star diagnosis as he fit that to try and fix this issue. But at the end he says it needs a new transmission but I want to see other options first!

yes but its a lot worse when in automatic as you cant skip gears and for some reason 2nd gear jerks a lot but when on manual no jerking whatsoever only on 3rd the same as in automatic.

Hi, I have a diesel S class 3.2 06 plate which is has some transmission issues. I am hoping that someone can help me with their experience/knowledge. The car has 140k miles and the torque converter has been replaced tt try resolve the issue but it hasn't made any difference. The issues is...

okkk that explains why it isnt starting then...well i understand these are all assumptions for now.... the car has been serviced at merc every year since purchase so it has full MB Service history.

its not engaging in park but the car rolls so its nto stuck in D although that was the case when the car was switched on....I guess i have to wait until tomorrow when my mechanic plugs it into STAR are these cars generally like this? always have issues ?

hi, is there a way of resetting this mechanism? i am under the impression that i seen something that can be reset with a pen? the £500 was spent on: -service at dealer -replace rear spring -replace MAP and DPS sensors - the car was in limp mode but the sensors didnt help... motorway journey...
