Having hit a pot hole on the M5 on Thursday night and having had to endure an 80 mile recovery on two different trucks, tempted by a spare from there. The loss of boot space I can probably deal with to avoid going through that again...

It's called acoustic lock. You can (and should) disable it in the settings menu. Edit, just noticed you already did.

Not in my experience. Google Maps is proactive in diverting if finds a quicker route due to traffic etc. It will suggest it and give you about 60 seconds to reject it before automatically diverting. I've always found the routes suggested by Google to be a better than Waze. Final straw for me...

Unless one wants to drive into Glasgow (currently active), Edinburgh or Dundee (from next year) with the ULEZ zones that simply ban any diesel prior to E6 with fines that double for each breach.

Your factory Dab issue is likely software related. Mine was the same but when I had it flashed to add Android Auto, whatever software update that was fixed the DAB as well.

That looks quite neat. Been tempted to get one for my s212 but the obvious aftermarket effect puts me off. I've got Carplay/ AA enabled on mine, but without touchscreen it's frustrating to use.

Won't be long before a big number of shell branded garages are gone as EG will be rebranding their sites as Asda....

Similar issue with my S212 as well. Over 2 years I've just got used to it but a 5 hour non stop drive does still get a bit uncomfortable. By contrast, my old S40 had amazing seats. They were a lot smaller and more supportive. I think if I was maybe 30 stone, the 212 would be ideal.

If the 213 is anything like the 212, the range remaining is pretty random and changes if you go up the slightest of hills. My old Volvo was far more useful as it worked it out based on usage over the past 10 miles or so.

Just did some Googling and seems that if you don't have the infocall button, there did be an MB contact in the phone book to use instead. Will try that next time I'm in the car.

The only thing I'd be interested in would be the fuel consumption really but can't see any way of getting that working. Live traffic is pointless with Android Auto.

Mines a 2016 S212. Is there actually anything it can connect to? I did look at downloading the app a couple of years back but to pair it wanted me to press the meecedes me button in the car, which obviously it doesn't have so gave up. Probably irrelevant now anyway if the modem is 3g given 3g...
