I just noticed that H&R lowering springs for a w124 are £75 and e500 version is even less! Amazon.co.UK H&R 29569-2 Performance Spring Set. £75.82 H&R 29855-1 Performance Spring Set £59 Not sure what else is available.

Thanks for all the responses. I have downloaded lots of PDFs about the gearbox. The 2010 thread refers to him using a w210 722.5 and transplanting it to a 300-24v. So at least I know I should be able to swap but may have some issues. Thanks.

Hi, My 93 300-24TE 5speed 722.5 still needs serious TLC, I have found a 94 320TE with a 5 speed, but a different part number. Is a straight swap possible? Or should I keep saving for a refurb. Also Does anyone know what are the differences with the 722.501 and and 722.502 etc.

Sorry for any confusion. Does the code tester show "no fault" whilst the lid is stuck? Also once the lid is stuck up, do you have to switch the car off and on before it will close the roof? Regards.

Andy came over this evening and we tested his roof controller. We found that his controller is bad and my car had the same symptoms as his. Interestingly it nearly worked the first time but then froze while the windows went up. After that it would fold the roof back but the lid would not shut...

under the passenger footwell is a seperate roof 2 pin test connector for the roof (you need to supply your own 12v for the tester) it does sound like the controller is not getting the correct signal. OP: if your in London your welcome to try swapping controllers with me.
