    M113 into a W124 - Possible?

Thank you d_w124. Who/what is Carat? (Incidentally, I've also spotted a 560 lump on Ebay) By way of further questioning, can anyone recommend a mechanic/garage (even a MBC member) who would be able to do this conversion in London/SE? I'd ideally prefer not to be paying £80/hr labour rates, if...

    M113 into a W124 - Possible?

Thanks kindly. That makes everything completely clear. In terms of the M117, how would you recommend I go about sourcing one? Are any variants/sources better than others?

    M113 into a W124 - Possible?

Thank you for the reading inspiration. It looks like the M117 is a slightly easier swap, if I'm reading that correctly - with just a few modifications to mounts and firewall to accommodate. How readily available are these engines (there are currently none on Ebay)?

    M113 into a W124 - Possible?

Just some random musings, as I've happened to stumble across a C124 without an engine and a 4.3 M113 (and g'box/ancillaries - from S430). Unfortunately, I can't get both in the same place at the same time (being heavy and non-moving) to even check the size logistics of mating them. However...

    18" SL55 Turbines - Trade for your 17" wheels?

Just replied to your PM. Let me know if you received, as my inbox isn't working brilliantly...

    18" SL55 Turbines - Trade for your 17" wheels?

It seems that way indeed - a very odd situation, as they are an easy/cheap upgrade for 5x112 PCD Mercs. If they didn't make the (already dreadful) scuttle shake on my car so bad, I would swap the tyres and have a bash at refurbing them.

    18" SL55 Turbines - Trade for your 17" wheels?

What a bloody timewaster. Either you're a bit thick, or you're being deliberately obtuse. If you cared to read my replies to you properly, you would find: - I did confirm they were genuine. Nobody makes replica 8.5/9.5x18 20-spokes! - The tyres are the correct size for both my car and yours...

    18" SL55 Turbines - Trade for your 17" wheels?

ExMercTech - Are you still out there, or are you ignoring me? It's been a fortnight (well, actually two months since you first expressed interest)...

    18" SL55 Turbines - Trade for your 17" wheels?

Well, another set of these has sold. Perhaps condition is putting people off these? They certainly aren't perfect, but there are no buckles/cracks or major kerbing...

SWAP/SELL AMG 8.5x18" 22 Spoke for BRABUS Monoblocks

Well done! Would you mind sharing the figure you got for them, to help me understand what the market is like. Feel free to email/PM if you would prefer.

SWAP/SELL AMG 8.5x18" 22 Spoke for BRABUS Monoblocks

Hi As someone selling the same thing (but not in such brilliant condition), I thought I would add a bit of detail that might help you. They originally came off a R230 SL55, and were originally fitted as a staggered set of 8.5/9.5x18, so it might be worth double-checking whether yours are...

FS: Genuine AMG Turbine alloys just refurbed.

Good luck - they look great! If my 2-month old swap thread is anything to go by, you'll struggle to give them away.

    18" SL55 Turbines - Trade for your 17" wheels?

Hi. I'm still keen to do the swap, and happy to drive to you when it's convenient (this weekend?). As per the previous page, my phone number is zero, seven, seven, three, nine, one, four, three, eight, zero, three. Feel free to call or text/WhatsApp me and we can arrange away from the...

    18" SL55 Turbines - Trade for your 17" wheels?

Haha! Thanks. This is the hardest I've ever had to work to 'sell' something that people have expressed interest in!

    18" SL55 Turbines - Trade for your 17" wheels?

So, after two timewasters expressed interest and then stopped replying, these are still available. To confirm the details: - They are genuine SL55 AMG alloys - The tyres are the correct sizes for C/CLK/SLK cars - They come with the correct bolts (longer, I believe) to attach to other Mercedes...
