I recently purchased a Lexus and the dealer offered the usual add-ons, one of them was the cosmetic insurance / SMART cover.
Although branded Lexus when you read the documentation it looks like claims are via www.smartinsurance.com or firstname.lastname@example.org, has anyone used this...
I've been keeping a close eye on the weather, touch wood no rain on the days we're doing the driving but I am half expecting it to change last min.
The only day its raining is the day we're on the steam train having afternoon tea, but I dont mind it then :)
Thanks Cabriomat, to clarify are you saying skip the grey bit and detour via your blue bit or do both?
After zooming in your right theres hardly any roads so even following a map looks pretty straightforward :)
We've got 2 phones with Google maps downloaded offline so not reliant on data and a backup map, we've just always use nav (maybe a age thing!) So wanted to stick with what we're comfortable with, worst case we have a map which we will use.
Thank you all, we have all hotels booked and also couple of tickets for the Jacobite steam train.
The car we're taking has no built in nav, I'll see if I can find a app which supports gpx import, thanks again for all the input so far :)
This sat we're planning a road trip to the highlands to do the first half of route 500 (Inverness to Bettyhill), I heard this part is the most scenic out of the whole route, hopefully thats correct?
Has anyone done this before who can advise a good way to stay on track on route500 using...
Lexus offered £4k trade in, even webuyanycar offering £4900, my car is a 2011 E250 Avantgarde Cdi, 101k miles, think i'll need to find a better way to sell it, maybe auction? just want a no hassle sale and no dealing the general public myself.
Will be test driving this Sun hopefully, not happy...
Hmm, to clarify do you guys mean dull as in quite and relaxing? Nowadays I'm not a spirited driver, just need something refined and something that keeps the road noise out :)
I should hopefully be test driving soon in any case.
Any other recommendations for reliability and refinement at that...
I'm thinking of downsizing from the 2011 E250 diesel into a smaller petrol car, I've had 2 E classes already (W211 and W212) and I fancy a change, reliability is key for me but still want to retain luxury, on paper it sounds like Lexus could be the answer.
I'm leaning towards the IS300H...
