As part of the deal on my car , a 2012 c220 estate ,the B3 service is a freebie. It involves amongst other things changing the brake fluid.
Upon return nothing amiss until I drove it. In a word the brakes don't work as well as they did when it went in !!!

I got mine s/h. When I plugged it into the computer and the app it decided I needed a firmware update. This meant wiping everything. Following the firmware update it offered me the European maps database at no cost to replace those that disappeared, which of course I grabbed.

I would agree with Phils comments re alloys. I have seen , admittedly laquer flaking/corroded, previously damaged alloys break at the scene of a collision.

South. Go on the Hilton site. We always use a room + parking deal. Done that several times and use the valet park. Never ever had a problem with extra mileage. last time it hit just under two and they told us where it had been parked!

I have no experience of taptite and cant comment.
However for very similar proportions or differences I have , as an airframe fitter, successfully (and legitimately) used helicoils on aircraft and would recommend them.
They have the benefit of being a cinch to use with care :)
