Yep I asked myself the same question but the next time the experience/service was perfect, the third visit convinced me that they will never see me, my wife’s car or my money again.

Okay first and foremost Kwik Fit employ young people who don’t seem to really know what they’re doing, I’ve used them 3 times for servicing two out of the three have been a disaster! First time they hadn’t done up the drain plug tightly and was leaking oil all the way home.. second time...

Wow thanks for the great reply but that’s way beyond my understanding, think I’m going to need a mechanic who really understands what he’s seeing on the diagnostic screen and can work out what’s going on with this misfire.

I have changed the leads and all’s well, I had only looked at the front two cylinders and had assumed they were all the same, thanks for your help. (Bloody misfire is still there though!)

So the middle cylinders 3+4 are both short leads?

2004 CLK320 V6 Just bought a set of BBT leads from ECP and I was expecting six long and six short leads, I actually have four long and eight short, is this correct?

The problem occurred before the plugs were changed so I’m inclined to think it’s not the plugs, need to know what the plugs should be doing on the diagnostic screen, two plugs were showing -18 while the rest were around 0.0 and fluctuating +/- 3

I suggested engine mounts but the mechanic said he didn’t think it was that, is there an easy way to check?
