mine did that on a w208 cab the manifold had a slight crack in it on the underbody when the car was warm the sound wasnt to bad but when cold thats when it's at it peak

i replaced my manifold last 8 months ago on my clk 23k cab not the cheapest part in the world paid £930 from the dealer they are prone on the clks to go good luck mate
