Fixed! Turns out it was the wire for 3-4 shift solenoid, it had become damaged somewhere between the box and the transmission ecu, ive put a new wire in place and its going again, thanks for the help.

Ahh i see, maybe filling the plug up top with electrical cleaner every day for a week and see if it makes it down to the transmission plug. Thanks

Oh and just a little history. The car was driving fine before limp mode came from no where, i have sdconnect and the faults given where p0763 100 and 004. I checked the 13 pin plug and that was full of atf, that got changed and the etc cleaned. The faults came straight back after...

Possibly, is had wicked up to the etc but thats been cleaned up and i have a spare just incase, would atf within the wires cause a fault? Even if theres none in the etc or 13 pin plug. Thanks

Hi, im going to check the wiring harness for signs of damage tomorrow, does anyone know of any weak points? Or should i completly remove the harness to check it over? My ml is in limp mode and showing 0 resistance between pin 15 and 38 on the etc plugs. Thanks

Ahh didnt think to look what else hes selling, ill give that one a go then. Am i right in thinking it shouldnt need coding to my car after fitting? Thanks

Thankyou for the reply, do you know where id get him to look for the part number A163 270 25 00 on the gearbox? The part numbers he listed are a little confusing, i did wonder if the 3rd pic is the part number for the bit between the gearbox and the transfer box? Thanks

Can anyone tell me what bulbs i need for behind the speedo, engine temp and fuel guages on a w210? And am i right in believing the clocks just push out from the back? Thanks
