    Hi from Australia I'm the sad owner of a 2003 ml270 with recurring black death :fail Yes my own spannering :fail Nice vehicle otherwise. What year did the boffins at MB decide to change the design of the injector seating to eliminate this (:fail) problem? Cheers Peter

    So my 606 warm up time in summer is maybe 10min to running temp.So realistically not too slow comparatively speaking The 603 is easily half that. Cheers

    Im about to enter the exciting sphere of glow plug removal :wallbash: and so I had a thought... as you do Would the glow plugs last longer if you were able to to put a switch in the circuit so as to stop them cycling on / off when the engine was hot? I'm trying to get Beru plugs and a reamer...

    Compressor is engaging but not pumping I "assume" the cool mechanic checked for leaks,then gassed it up to find out that compressor wash,t doing its job?

    So an Update; The cool mechanic said its not pumping Should that mean the little pistons are buggered ? He didn't mention a leak from the pump itself i.e. shaft seals etc Looking at genuine denso compressor from USA for $399 US over $1000 aus here

    I note the E270 is lighter and probably has a tranny with longer legs so a fuel use of 5.5L/100kms is possible ?
