Abs - if you put the back seat down flat, you should be able to get in and open the tailgate from the inside. The door mirror wiring was repaired whilst the car was in my care and the auto-folding function was turned off by Ollie at the time, so the wiring is probably likely to require...

I've previously used Autodoc for brake parts and found the pricess to be good - give 'em a try.

Braybrooks are a bit nearer Cambridge than Lightwater.

I've always understood that a DPF was only ever an option on the 211s. Apart from looking underneath, the build sheet will tell you if a DPF is fitted, as will the lack of sooty tailpipes.

That price is £400 per disc, so £800 for the front pair, PLUS the cost of the pads. (approx £100). Also, the ones you quote are 390mm diameter, whilst the previous ones quoted were 360mm diameter.

From what I read in my handbook, it won't change up automatically. That being said, I've not tried it yet. G.

Didn't know there was a Caravelle still flying. That #1 engine seems very smokey though.

While the E class estates (211 and 212) do have air suspension at the rear, it is definitely NOT airmatic. These cars can be had with full Airmatic, but then they'll have the appropriate control switches on the centre console. The standard air rear suspension on those estates is fitted more...
